Machu Picchu construction started around 1450 AD under Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui
Machu Picchu construct without using any mortar between stones.
Instead of mortar they used technique called ashlar, which involves cutting stones so precisely that they lay on top of one another without any space between them.
Machu Picchu buildings are earthquakes proofs.
The Construction of Machu Picchu included the ashlar technique and trapezoidal-shaped doors and windows, inward inclining walls, and bracing blocks.
The central buildings use the classical Inca architectural style of polished dry-stone walls of regular shape.
The site itself may have been intentionally built on fault lines to afford better drainage and a ready supply of fractured stone.
