Lotus temple was designed by Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba.

The Lotus temple was completed in 1986

  Lotus Temple have  more than 10,000 different sizes of marble that were used in the construction of Lotus Temple. 

Height of the Lotus Temple is 34.27 metres (112.4 feet).

Diameter of the Lotus Temple is  70 metres (230 ft).

Concrete frame and precast concrete ribbed roof are used for the construction  of Lotus Temple.

Lotus Temple is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides.

Structural design was undertaken by the UK firm Flint and Neill over the course of 18 months.

 Construction was done by ECC Construction Group of Larsen & Toubro Limited

The construction cost of Lotus Temple was $10 million.

The Lotus Temple is visited by over 10,00 visitors everyday
