Eiffel Tower Construction started on 28 January 1887.

On 18 July 1887  the standing of metalwork started.

On 7 December 1887 the Construction of the legs with scaffolding started.

First floor completed on 1st April 1888 and second floor completed on 14th August 1888.

The construction completed on 15 March 1889.

Opening on 31 March 1889.

The Structural engineer was Maurice Koechlin Émile Nouguier.

Main contractor of Eiffel Tower was Compagnie des Etablissements Eiffel.

Current height of Eiffel Tower is 1083 feet.

Weight of the metal frame used in Eiffel Tower Construction is 7,300 tons.

Total weight of the Eiffel Tower is 10,100 tons.

Number of rivets used in EIffel Tower construction was 2,500,000.

Number of iron parts used in Eiffel Tower was 18,038.

Nowadays there are 6 lifts. 3 go up to the 2nd floor, 2 go up from the 2nd to the 3rd floor and the last, in the south pillar.

Construction of the Eiffel Tower cost 7,799,401.31 French gold francs in 1889, or about $1.5 million.
