Construction of the legs with scaffolding started.
First floor completed on 1st April 1888 and second floor completed on 14th August 1888.
The construction completed on 15 March 1889.
Opening on 31 March 1889.
The Structural engineer was Maurice Koechlin
Émile Nouguier.
Main contractor of Eiffel Tower was Compagnie des Etablissements Eiffel.

Nowadays there are 6 lifts. 3 go up to the 2nd floor, 2 go up from the 2nd to the 3rd floor and the last, in the south pillar.
Construction of the Eiffel Tower cost 7,799,401.31 French gold francs in 1889, or about $1.5 million.
